Kodak Progressive Lenses

How would most people like to see with their glasses?  Many of our patients tell us their glasses would be more comfortable if their lenses were not so thick.  Others tell us that they do not like the soda bottle look of their lenses.  Some complain about the weight of their glasses.  Others would like to eliminate the lines of their bifocals, feeling that the lines make them look old.  Dr. Tavel has solutions for these problems through the use of the Kodak family of lenses.

What is different about these lenses?

First, they are up to 38% flatter than ordinary lenses.  The flatter lens gives a slimmer profile and reduces the soda bottle effect associated with many lenses.  The lens also reduces the characteristic "bug-eyed" look caused by a bulge in the center of some lenses.

Second, these lenses are up to 27% thinner than ordinary lenses.  A thinner lens fits comfortably into today's smaller, thinner fashion frames.  The thinner edges enhance peripheral vision for the patient, long a complaint of people with high prescriptions.

A thinner lens significantly reduces the total weight of the glasses as well.  Kodak lenses are up to 30% lighter than ordinary lenses.  No more seemingly permanent indentation from nose pads on the noses of glasses wearers.

Most people would like to eliminate the lines on their bifocals.  Many feel the lines can be distracting.  The Kodak Progressive Bifocal lens offers freedom from lines.  The lenses are made to help correct vision at all distances.  Your vision is improved with no lines to distract or distort your vision.

"You'll buy them for how they look, you'll love them for how they perform. And that's a promise from the doctor."TM
